Winston Riley

Winston Riley, is investing just over $50 million in a studio and museum he intends to open before year-end on Orange Street

The building is being constructed on the same site that housed Riley's record label, Techniques Records, which he said was burnt down by arsonists last month.

Riley told Splash, will be rebranded Techniques Records and Museum, which, in addition to producing songs, will be a depository showcasing the history of reggae and dancehall music.

The great Pressure Sounds release another Classic album, a must have compilation of Jamaican 7" singles from the Caltone Label .

It's a 21 track set that covers the years from 1966 to 1969. From the late ska years through to early reggae although for the most part the album is full of rare rocksteady gems.
The late Ken Lack who founded the Caltone label was a businessman with a passion for music. His connections with Jamaica’s top session players Lynn Tait, Tommy McCook and Johnny Moore resulted in a series of 45s that were both tasteful and well produced.Recordings were carried out at WIRL, Federal & Treasure Isle studios. Respect to Pressure Sounds the Top re - issue Label for always giving us the most important releases.

The second Pressure Sounds album of Caltone productions.

Following on from the successful

Pressure Sounds album ‘Safe Travel’ PSCD/LP47.
